Queen’s Park

In collaboration with Dow Jones Architects, North London, 2014

The ground floor remodelling and adaptation of a Victorian House to create accessible accommodation.

The project involves remodelling the ground floor of a family home in North London. A series of spaces are created inside and around a number of bespoke oak furniture boxes, arranged as a landscape within the larger exposed concrete structure.

A limited palette of materials is employed in their raw state without treatment or decoration. The placing and joining of timber and concrete is carefully considered and precise in a celebration of the raw materials, elevating them beyond everyday construction.
